Two fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed and 28 more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today (Oct 9) in
Rangpur division, BSS reports.
Health officials said the two new Covid-19 positive cases were reported after testing 12 new samples at the positivity rate of 16.67 percent.
"The total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,897 in the division," Divisional Deputy Director (Health) Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman said.
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients rose to 63,522 with the healing of 28 more patients during the last 24 hours in the division.
The number of casualties remained steady at 1,291 as no new death was reported during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, more 65,295 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Saturday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 27 lakh 94 thousand and 573 doses in the division.
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,37,22,543 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,32,51,049 as the second doses and 58,20,981 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
