Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, SBP, ndc, psc, visited Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) at Mirpur Cantonment in the city on Tuesday, according to an ISPR press release.
BUP Vice-Chancellor Major General Md Salahuddin Miaji received and welcomed him on the campus.
During the visit, the army chief inaugurated BUP Daycare Centre, Multipurpose Shed, newly-built stairs on the east side of Lake of BUP, VC's Bungalow and other associated development projects.
During the inauguration of Daycare Centre, the army chief said the Centre is a time viable initiative. The Daycare Centre with modern amenities will not create any obstacles to their workplace due to parental absence. Later, he visited different places and highly appreciated the initiative for such ongoing development activities.
