At least nine people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Dashmile area in Panchagarh district on Friday evening.
The deceased could not be identified yet. 30 others were also injured in the accident, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Panchagarh Sadar Police Station Akkas Ali said the Tentulia-bound bus from the Panchagarh district town collided head-on with the truck carrying electric poles around 8:15pm.
The accident left six people dead on the spot and 33 others injured, he said, adding that three of the injured died on the way to hospital.
The rest of the injured were taken to Panchagarh Sadar Hospital from where some were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, the OC said.
