Bangladesh Railway (BR) resumes 12 more intercity and 24 more local train services in its two zones in the country from Thursday with full passenger capacity.
The trains be run following health guidelines. But ticket sale service is carried out through both online and counter with half option.
The state-run train operator sets to operate Mohanagar, Egaro Sindhu Provati and Godhuli, Brahmaputra, Kalni, Jamalpur, Chottrola, Korotoa, Kopotakkhyo, Silkcity, Dolonchapa and DHumketu express trains on Thursday.
The local, mail and commuter services include Dhaka-Noakhali Express, Samatat, Bhawal, Dholeswari express, Kaliakoir, Narayanganj, Nazirhat, Dohazari commuters, Uttarbanga mail, Kanchan Commuter, Betna Expres, Iswardi Commuter, Dinajpur/Lalmoni Commuter, Burimari commuter, Kurigram shuttle and Bhatiapara express.
Earlier, the BR resumed 36 sets of inter-city trains and 20 commuters and local trains from August 11, the day the government relaxed lockdown in the country.
However, it decided to keep the train services of Dhaka-Kishorganj Egarosindhu Express, Dhaka-Dewanganjbazar Brahmaputra Express from Thursday.
The BR operates around 150 sets of trains in its western and eastern zones.
