Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) will set up solar panels on the rooftop of government buildings in Jamalpur district this year.
District BPDB officials said under the project on ‘Implementation of Grid Tied Rooftop Solar pv (Pick Voltage) System Installation on Government Building on a Build, Owned and Operate (BOO) Basis’, the solar panels will be set up.
A total of 23 Government buildings were selected for setting up the solar panels in the town. After completion of the project 813 KW (kilo watt) power will be generated from the solar panels, Project Director and Executive Engineer, Md Obidul Islam briefed the media on Sunday, reports BSS.
He said the tender process is underway for setting up the solar panels.
