Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barishal divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, said a met office release valid for 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today (Sunday).
Moderately heavy to heavy falls are likely to occur at some places over northern part of the country, reports BSS citing the release.
However, the day temperature may fall slightly and the night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 36.6 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi while the minimum temperature today was 22.6 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded at 106 mm at Rangpur.
