Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started a dedicated Hajj flights operation from Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram to Jeddha and Medina.
Biman's first dedicated Hajj flight BG-3211 left the port city with 417 pilgrims on board at 1:45 pm today (Wednesday), reports BSS citing a press release.
This year, the national flag carrier will operate 65 dedicated pre-hajj flights from Bangladesh, including nine on Chattogram-Jeddah and two on Chattogram-Medina routes, the release added.
Shah Amanat Airport Director Wing Commander Farhad Hossain Khan was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
