President of Bikolpo Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Saturday urged the government to amend the Constitution for paving the way for formation of either a caretaker or a national government to hold the next general election in a credible manner, reports UNB.
“An election-time caretaker government or a national government based on the consensus of political parties must be formed amending the Constitution for holding a free and fair national election.
It’s now a people’s basic demand,” he said.
B Chowdhury, also a former president, came up with the demand while exchanging greetings with his party leaders and activists at BDB’s Kuril Biswa Road office in the city, marking Eid-ul-Fitr.
