Abdur Razzak, the director of Al-Arafah Islami Agent Banking in Kunjerhat and Shibpur Khasherhat markets in Bhola, has been killed in a lightning strike on Friday.
The incident occurred at Golakpur village of Shambhupur union in Bhola's Tazumuddin on Friday.
The victim, 40-year-old Abdur Razzak, along with two others-- Hanif and Monjur—were collecting betel nuts during the rains, reports UNB.
The injured were undergoing treatment at Bhola Sadar Hospital.
Md. Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Tazumuddin police station, said all three were struck by lightning while collecting betel nuts.
While they were being rushed to the Sadar Hospital, said the OC, critically injured Razzak died on the way.
