Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah on Tuesday said that stern actions must be taken if anyone tries to launch sabotage centring verdict in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
He made the warning after inspecting Bangla Academy premises on Tuesday.
“No one is above law. If anyone tries to break any law and create any anarchic situation destroying government’s property, he or she will be punished. Strong actions will be taken against the anarchist,” said the DMP commissioner.
All the measures will be taken to ensure security on February 8, he said.
On Thursday, the Special Court-5 in Dhaka fixed February 8 to deliver the verdict in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and five other people, according to UNB.
