A total of 392 more dengue patients were hospitalised in 24 hours till Monday morning as cases keep rising in Bangladesh.
Of the new patients, 252 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 139 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
On Sunday, this year's death toll from the mosquito-borne viral disease rose to 45with another death reported from Chattogram division, reports UNB.
The dengue death toll so far in Dhaka division stood at 21 and in Barishal division at four while in Chattogram division at 20.
A total of 1,483 dengue patients, including 1,102 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
On June 21, the DGHS reported the first death of the season from the viral disease.
This year, the directorate has recorded 11,569 dengue cases and 1,041 recoveries so far.
