A total of 367 cases of Covid-19 and three deaths from the disease were recorded in 24 hours across Bangladesh.
With the latest development, the overall tally of infections reached 2,030,090 and the death toll rose to 29,384, according to a bdnews24.com report that cited the government data released on Monday.
As many as 3,994 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 9.19 per cent.
Among the eight divisions, Dhaka logged the highest number of cases, with 281 infections.
Another 644 people recovered from the illness nationwide, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,970,639.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 97.07 per cent and the mortality rate at 1.45 per cent.
Globally, over 621.46 million people have been infected by the coronavirus and 6.55 million have died, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
