A total of 2,975 educational institutions under all education boards secured cent per cent pass rate in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations.
The number of institutions with 100 per cent pass rate has declined this year compared to the previous year. Last year, the number was 5,494.
Meanwhile, the number of educational institutions with zero pass rate is 50 which was 18 last year, reports UNB.
Education Minister Dipu Moni shared detailed information on this year’s SSC results during a press conference at International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka this noon.
This year, 17,43,619 students- 8,70,046 boys and 8,73,573 girls- from 29,639 institutes under 11 education boards in the country successfully cleared the exams.
This year, more than 20 lakh students took part in SSC and equivalent examinations under 11 boards, including madrasa (Dakhil) and Technical Education.
Of them, 1.59 million were from nine general education boards, 2.68 under the Madrasa Education Board, and 0.15 million under Technical Education Board. SSC and equivalent examinations began across the country on September 15.
