12 Supreme Court judges contract coronavirus

Twelve judges of the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court have been infected with Covid-19. 

Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique made the remark when the court proceedings started on Monday morning.

The Chief Justice said a total of 12 judges have tested positive for coronavirus so far.

In this situation, it has become difficult to run the judiciary, he said.

Chief Justice Hasan has sought cooperation from all lawyers in conducting the court proceedings.
