Taylor Maddalene, the manager of National Geographic Society (NGS) in USA, has called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university.
Director of the Centre for Advanced research in Sciences of DU Prof. Dr Golam Mohammad Bhuiyan and Professor of the Department of Zoology Dr. Md. Anwarul Islam were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative research programmes on wild animal, fisheries, oceanography, environment and disaster management between Dhaka University and National Geographic Society, reports BSS.
They stressed the need for making the world free from all sorts of pollution.
They also discussed about signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DU and NGS to conduct joint collaborative research programmes in this regard.
