The Career Services Office (CSO) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in collaboration with Banglalink Limited organised an hour-long webinar titled “New Essential Skill-sets Required after the Pandemic” on Wednesday, says a press release.
ULAB has been organising such online career sessions to help students cope with the job market after the coronavirus crisis.
Head of Talent Management of Banglalink Ayesha Saeed conducted the session.
Ayesha Saeed said that students have to cope with the New Normal, which means redefining the way we used to do things before the Covid-19 crisis. She requested students to develop their skills and become competent in working online or virtually. "The world is moving to a digital format, so students should be able to enhance their skills with new changes,'' she added.
Ayesha Saeed also focused on developing skill sets for emotional Intelligence among students.
Dilara Afroz Khan Rupa, assistant professor, ULAB School of Business and director, Student Affairs Office (SAO) and Career Services Office (CSO) said, "ULAB CSO is very committed to career placements of graduates of ULAB. We should be prepared with different career skills for work after the coronavirus epidemic to stay competitive in the job market. Therefore, it is high time to develop students’ soft skills and other skill sets that corporate leaders need so they can get their desired jobs after the epidemic."
After the presentation there was an interactive question-answer session. The session was coordinated by Aurthima Naznoor, talent management lead specialist, Human Resources and Administration of Banglalink.
More than one hundred students from different departments of ULAB participated in the session.
