A two-day ‘Indian Education Fair’ will begin at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BCC) in Dhaka city on July 6 (Friday).
SS Exhibition and Media Privet Limited (SEMPL), India, is organising the fair in association with Shamannay Bangladesh and GEE Bangladesh, SEMPL Director Manish Dhanda said at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city’s Segunbagicha on Wednesday.
The Indian High Commission in Dhaka supporting the fair, he added.
Chief Executive Officer of GEE Bangladesh Biplab Chandra Chakrabarti and Riyad Rahman of Shamannay Bangladesh were present at the press conference, among others.
Biplab Chandra Chakrabarti said the two-day fair will be inaugurated at 10:30 am on Friday (July 6) and will remain open for all till 7 pm. The fair will open at 10 am on the second day, July 7, and it will end at 7 pm.
More than 30 leading universities of India, including Vellore Institute of Technology, SRM University and Sharda University, will take part in the fair, he informed.
Biplab said the fair will create an opportunity for Bangladeshi students and parents to meet and discuss with officers from different Indian schools, colleges and universities directly, reports BSS.
He hoped that from the fair, Bangladeshi students would get a chance to avail 20 to 80 per cent scholarship on the basis of their merit to study in different institutions in India.
