Thailand to train farming to primary students

The government of Thailand will train primary students in Bangladesh on growing vegetables and flowers for promoting sound health and nutrition.

Ambassador of Thailand in Dhaka Panpimon Suwannapongse expressed his country's interest when he called on Minister for Primary and Mass Education Mostafizur Rahman at his secretariat office on Tuesday.

As part of their initiative, the envoy said, they will impart training to primary students at Maria Government Primary School in Gazipur and Azampur Government Primary School in city's Uttara, reports BSS.

The minister highlighted the present government's activities to develop the standard of primary education.

Additional Secretaries to the Primary and Mass Education Ministry M Giasuddin Ahmed and Dr AFM Monjur Kadir were also present.

Meanwhile, the Thai government is giving training to primary students at Gazipur and Uttara under the Children Development Project since 2010 for promoting sound health and nutrition.
