Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) authority plans to bring whole campus area under vigilance of close circuit television (CCTV).
SUST Vice-Chancellor Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed said at a press conference at the university on Sunday, a day after the attack on renowned writer and Professor Muhammad Zafar Iqbal.
The vice chancellor also condemned the attack on Zafar Iqbal, a teacher of SUST.
The eminent writer is also the head of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department and a professor of Computer Science and Engineering department of SUST.
The VC demanded stern action against the attackers.
According to BSS, Zafar Iqbal came under the knife attack on the university campus on Saturday.
He is now undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH)in Dhaka.
