BUP Cultural Forum (BUPCF), one of the vibrant clubs of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), welcomed the spring through their event ‘Boshonto Boron 1428.’
The event was held online due to the spread of COVID-19 and was attended by more than a thousand students.
The premiere show, a colourful extravaganza, was an hour-long show packed with several cultural and creative performances of the talented and artistic youths.
The 'Performance' section consisted of Traditional singing, dancing, and poem recitation. Apart from that, the 'Creative' section included drawing, animation, and videography.
This event created a platform to showcase students' talents through online platforms.
The participants also got a scope to get acquainted with different skills rather than just performing the art.
Mentioning the difficulties of performing online, Eyenan Taj Rean Shoumik, a 3rd-year student of the Accounting and Information Systems, said, “I am delighted to have participated in this event and thankful to BUPCF for organising it online in this challenging situation.”
“The learning prospects of an online event is vast because it requires some extra set of skills rather than just performing the art. I got exposure to videography, editing, and audio mastering skills for such events. Finally, the recognition is the cherry on the top.”
BUPCF aspires to spread love and happiness throughout the world, upholding spring's ever young and zealous motive. The colourful and festive ambience of spring ushers nature with joy and happiness after experiencing the acrid and ruthless winter.
The moderator of BUPCF, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Sociology department, Josinta Zinia remarked, “Spring arrives in nature with a ray of hope and elation, erasing all acrid experiences and forgotten melodies of the past. It symbolises the vibrant and zestful rays of nature, showering love and happiness.”
“This year, BUPCF has marked its excellence by successfully organising ‘Boshonto Boron 1428,’ one of the signature events of the club through online platforms, like every year. The event has offered the viewers an opportunity to enjoy several cultural and artistic performances of the youths, acting as a bit of fresh air amidst all the monotony and tiredness."
