Bangladesh Positive and JCI Dhaka West jointly organised an event called 'Amar Prothom Boimela' (My First Book Fair) on February 22 at Dhaka Ekushey Book Fair, says a press release.
Ten meritorious underprivileged children were brought to Dhaka Ekushey Book Fair to experience this for the first time. They were allowed to buy books on their own. Also, they participated an essay writing competition describing their experience of visiting the fair for the first time.
Later, veteran child fiction writer Dipu Mahmud took a session to encourage the participants to continue formal education as well as increase the book reading habits.
