Young Sustainable Impact (YSI) is launching its signature event 'Megapreneurs 2018' in March to select topmost talented entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. YSI is an international organisation that brings together the best young entrepreneurial minds of the world to find out solutions to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After the conference of 2017, YSI has expanded its local partnership to Bangladesh, China, South Korea, Singapore and Canada.
YSI Bangladesh, established in August last year, runs its activities according to the rules and views of its mother organisation YSI. The main view of YSI Bangladesh is to find out the best talented young entrepreneurial minds to solve different issues of this country related to SDG. For 2018, their event has been named as 'Megapreneurs 2018'. Traffic jam, lack of clean drinking water, improper waste management, water blockage etc. are some of the problems that we regularly face in our country. Megapreneurs, the entrepreneurs who deal with problems of mega cities, will work to alleviate these problems and improve living conditions of millions of people. A bunch of organised and dedicated volunteers and campus ambassadors have already joined here to make its each and every step a successful one.
Top 25 entrepreneurs from the event will receive the following rewards such as- award and certificates, three-month long online mentoring by top mentors from Bangladesh and abroad, 12 day-long fully funded campaign at Dhaka city, opportunity to share the story at popular TV channel, newspaper and FM radios etc. They will also receive varied amounts of seed funding and get connected with investors and mentors. Finally there will be a scope to participate in conference at Seoul, Shanghai and Singapore.
It will be the right platform for young entrepreneurs of Bangladesh to showcase their creativity in solving the problems of Dhaka and other growing cities. However, the applicants need to be under the age of 25. The business idea needs to be exclusive and the model needss to be sustainable. The last date of registration is March 03, 2018. This is an opportune time to be an entrepreneur and solve the problems for the country.
