The Jahangirnagar University (JU) has installed a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) machine at the Wazed Miah Research Centre of the university for conducting advanced research.
Prof Farzana Islam, the vice-chancellor of the JU, inaugurated the installation of the machine at the seminar room of the Wazed Miah Research Centre on the campus.
Prof Farzana said the machine would add new dimension in advanced research opportunities in the university, reports BSS.
"Such type of instruments enables us to materialise complex scientific experiments easily. Scientists, teachers and researchers at this university will be highly benefited', she said while addressing the function.
Prof Khabir Uddin, director of the Wazed Miah Research Centre, chaired the function, while former JU VC Prof Shariff Enamul Kabir, Prof Md Moniruzzaman, former Pro-VC Prof Abul Hossain and treasurer Prof Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq, among others, were present at the programme.
Teachers under the Mathematical and Physical Science Faculty and Biological Sciences Faculty were took part in the function.
