Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Public Administration Ministry on Sunday asked the Education Ministry to expedite the process of nationalisation of a government college in each upazila and bring it under money payment order (MPO) in next fiscal.
The parliamentary body came up with the recommendation at its 28th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad with its committee chairman HN Ashiqur Rahman in the chair.
It recommended for bringing all unregistered educational institutes at district level under a policy jointly formed by the education ministry and the deputy commissioners.
The parliamentary watchdog also recommended taking necessary actions by the Education Ministry to check the question paper leak in the public examinations, reorganise the examination system and reduce the examination centres.
Committee members State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadeque, ABM Fazley Karim Chowdhury, RAM Ubaydul Muktadir Chowdhury, Mustafa Lutfullah, Khorshed Ara Haq and Jaya Sengupta, among others, were present during the meeting, reports BSS.
