IU holds training on ‘Earning from Facebook’

Islamic University (IU), in association with ministry of posts, telecommunications and information technology, has organised a training programme on ‘Earning from Facebook’ in its campus.

The two-day training titled 'Boost your business with Facebook' was held at the Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium of the IU with a view to learn the use of Facebook as a source of business.

Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, vice-chancellor of the IU, addressed the opening ceremony of the function as the chief guest, reports UNB.

Poresh Chandra Barmon, the director of IU computer centre, was also present at the training programme.

Now, Facebook is a source of business. If we can use Facebook as a source of pleasure as well as a source of income, then it will be used as a source of great value, the speakers said.

Students will have to work to achieve self-reliance by promoting their own skills and creativity by using social communications, the speakers said while addressing the event.

Among others, IU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha, and IU Proctor Professor M Mahbubar Rahman joined the function as the special guests.

Content developer of multimedia content and communication limited, Muhammad Saiful Islam conducted the training.

About two thousand teachers and students of the university were present at the programme.
