A new academic building of Ispahani Public School and College in Chattogram was inaugurated on Sunday.
The building was named after Mirza Mehedi Ispahani, said a statement.
Mirza Salman Ispahani, Chairman of Ispahani Group and the governing body of the institution, inaugurated the new building, which is equipped with modern facilities.
Shereen Ispahani, director of Chattogram Grammar School and designer and architect of the new building, inaugurated the Teacher-Student Centre of the building.
Managing Director of Ispahani Group Mirza Shakir Ispahani, Chairman of PHP Group Sufi Mizanur Rahman,Vice President of Confidence Cement Limited Rupam Kishore Barua, Former president of Chattogram Club Mia Mohammad Abdur Rahim, Principal of Omar Gani MES College A. N. M. Sarowar Alam, freedom fighter Jahurulul Islam Siddiqui, local councillor Morshed Ali, Principal of Ispahani Public School and College and member secretary Lt. Colonel (retd) Mohammad Moinul Islam Chowdhury attended the inaugural ceremony among others.
Teachers, faculties and other officials of the institution, headmasters from other educational institutions run by Ispahani Group, senior staff of Ispahani Group and media representatives along with other prominent personalities of Chattogram were also present at the event.
Mr Salman Ispahani pledged to continue with their support for the enlightenment of future generations by providing scholarships, spreading education, establishing science laboratories and other facilities to turn them into ideal citizens of the country.
This institution was founded by former Chairman of Ispahani Group Mirza Ahmed Ispahani in 1979 with a dream: "Children will be the light bearers of the future and find success in life by following the true path."
