The Entrepreneurial Economists Club of Dhaka School of Economics has formed a new committee for the next year, which is effective from 12 December, 2022 as per the annual general meeting held on 11 December, 2022, according to a press release.
Mohammad Jamal Hussain was made president, and Jishan Rahman was made general secretary of the committee. The other office-bearers are Vice President 1 Mohammad Faizul Alam Siddiqui, Vice President 2 Roksana Akhter, Treasurer Samira Binte Saif, Joint Secretary Mahe Alam Sarwar, and Publicity Secretary Mohammad Farhadul Islam Bhuiyan.
On the new club committee, the executive committee members are Shamim Ahmad, Sharafat Hossain, Shilpi Rani Dutta, Mohammad Abdus Salam, Parimal Saha, Jakir Hossain, and Santunu Dutta .
Entrepreneurial Economics Programme Coordinator and Economist, IT expert Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Post Doctorate, Club Moderator Rehana Parveen, and Club Convener Dr. Sara Tasnim congratulated the new committee.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Post Doctorate, hoped that the new committee would make entrepreneurial education accessible to all and that society would be knowledge-based, creative, and innovative for social upliftment.
Prof. Ali also argued that for the greater educational dissemination of the country, the richer section of the country should contact the authority of Dhaka School of Economics to help establish an economic incubator, which is part of the course curricula starting from the undergraduate Entrepreneurial Economics Programme to the postgraduate Dipolma in Enterprise Development as well as the Master of Entrepreneurship Economics Programme under the University of Dhaka.
