The present government considers education the main tool to build poverty-free Bangladesh.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq said this on Saturday.
“We are giving special priority on education to raise educated and efficient human resource to implement our government’s Vision-2021 and Vision-2041. Today’s students will run the country in future. So it is our duty to take proper care to develop their talent,” he said.
The minister came up with the observations while addressing a function organised on the occasion of handing over scholarships among students of higher secondary level by Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indore Stadium this morning, reports BSS.
Presided over by DBBL governing body chairman Sayem Ahmed, the function was attended by Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith as the chief guest. Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir also addressed the function, among others.
The law minister urged the guardians not to marry of their daughters before 18, saying, give them chance to complete graduation degree.
