Professor Jane den Hollander, Vice-Chancellor and President of Deakin University, Australia and Ms Ravneet Pawha, Deputy Vice-President (Global) and CEO South Asia; had an exclusive video conferencing with selected journalists from Bangladesh recently, said a statement.
Deakin at present has over 100 students from Bangladesh. It offers a variety of scholarships to financially assist international students through their Deakin experience. International students who study full time on campus are awarded scholarships based on academic merit.
Prof den Hollander, while interacting with media from Bangladesh announced International Vice Chancellor Scholarship, that would be given to outstanding meritorious students from Bangladesh to pursue any Undergraduate or Postgraduate programme at Deakin. Apart from this, there are bursaries ranging between 20 per cent and 25 per cent offered to students from Bangladesh.
