School of Science & Engineering, Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) jointly with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), with a view to targeting Japanese market, organised a seminar on ‘Importance and Impact of ITEE’ recently at CUB auditorium.
Dr. Chowdhury Nafees Sarafat, Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees graced the programme as the Chief Guest.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, P.Eng, Vice Chancellor, chaired the seminar. Mr. Akihiro Shoji, JICA expert was present as Guest of Honor while Mr. Md. Golam Sarwar, Project Director, BCC delivered key-note.
Dr. Md Shahrukh Adnan Khan, FERC, Associate Professor & Dean (Acting), School of Science and Engineering, Head of EEE Department and Director of Innovation and Commercialization Center moderated the programme.
Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Advisor, Board of Trustees and Dean, School of Business, Mr. Sheikh Mozaffar Hossain, Treasurer (Designate), S M Arifuzzaman, Associate Professor & Head, School of Business , Capt. Kazi Ali Imam, Head, Department of Shipping & Maritime Science, Mr. Shah Reza Fahad Hossain, HoD (Acting), Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Zohir Biswas, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Film and Television, Mr. Wakid Bin Kader, HoD (Acting), Natural Science & DSW, Mr. Waki T Chaudhury, Director of CISA and Head of Admission, Ms. Lamiya Rahman, Faculty member and program supervisor and many others were present.
School of Science & Engineering in collaboration with JICA and BCC is aiming to prepare skilled engineers from department of CSE, EEE and Shipping & Maritime Science targeting Japanese market. The programme ended with the inauguration of ‘ITEE Student Chapter’ in Canadian University of Bangladesh.
