Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM), in association with Daffodil International University (DIU), will organise an international convention in the capital on Thursday.
Around 1000 students and foreign delegates will take part in the convention based on the theme of “Quality Education for Global Peace and Sustainable Development.”
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will inaugurate the 21st International Convention on Students Quality Control Circles- 2018 which will be held on the DIU’s permanent campus as chief guest.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan will be present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the three-day convention on May 05, said a media release.
About 500 foreign students and delegates, among the total 100 participants, from USA, UK, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Mauritius and other countries will participate in the convention.
Nearly 60 student’s quality control circle case study and 13 technical papers relevant to quality education will be presented in the international convention.
Beside, 43 team in poster and slogan, 39 team in colas, 29 team in scit,33 team in debate, 28 team in quality quiz and 16 team will compete in computer programming contest.
Moreover, 28 team will compete in world parliamentary format debate, the release said.
The main objective of the convention is to create awareness about Total Quality Management in Academics and abreast the delegates about the latest development in quality improvement in academics as well as exchange information about implementation of TQM in educational institutions.
