Like every year, American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB) Social Welfare Club ‘Shomoy’ once again put together their voluntary blood donation campaigns, where students, administration, as well as faculties alike, joined in to contribute and do their part, says a press release.
The programme was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Dr Carmen Z Lamagna on Wednesday (December 04, 2019).
The programme was open to everyone who wished to help the cause. Deans, directors and officials were present during the inauguration. Club members did class campaigns, inviting students to participate, while many faculty members encouraged their classes to do the same.
The Quantum Foundation facilitated the blood donation and offered refreshments to the donors. Faculty members, students and officials of the university enthusiastically donated blood for the support of emergency serious patients.
