Be part of a vibrant Bangladesh:Speakers to BD students- Netherlands

Speakers urged the students to be part of a vibrant Bangladesh through sharing their experiences of 'innovation' and 'creativity'.

They urged at a programme held at Embassy of Bangladesh in The Hague.

Drawing lessons from successes of the Netherlands, Bangladesh Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed Belal on Saturday advised students and academics to provide ideas on how Bangladesh could also achieve similar success.

Alumni and Bangladeshi young professionals exchanged their experiences with the students which inspired them a lot, said a press release received here on Sunday.

Students requested for guidance on job opportunity, internship and career planning from the experts. Students also shared their learning experience and how they can implement their plans for improvement of Bangladesh

Later, as recognition of their achievement and contribution to the community Professor Dr Rezaul Kabir, chair of Corporate Finance and Risk Management at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences, University of Twente, Moynul Hossain, founder of CIM Solutions and Junayed Sarker, design engineer of Fluor BV received certificate of recognition from the Ambassador.

In their brief speeches they have also shared their experiences.

According to UNB agency,the Ambassador also invited all to attend a ceremony on November 25 to celebrate inclusion of Bangabandhu's historic 7th March speech as World's Documentary Heritage by UNESCO.

Along with Embassy officials around hundred and twenty students, who joined different universities of the Netherlands in 2017, alumni, academics and young professionals attended the programme

Both Masters and Bachelor level students from Erasmus University-Rotterdam, Maastricht School of Management, Wageningen University, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Hogeschool Rotterdam, HAN University of Applied Sciences, University of Twente, Technical University of Eindhoven, ISS, University of Amsterdam, Delft University of Technology, Fontys University of Applied Sciences attended the seminar.

The programme which was arranged to create a platform for new students for sharing ideas, thoughts and problems with the Embassy, alumni and other concern, getting suggestions from alumni and networking followed by the screening of a short documentary 'the reds and greens in the land of orange' by the BrainChain, the co-organiser of the programme.
