The Department of Architecture of Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) inaugurated a two-day long `Architecture Festival-2018’ at its Mirpur Cantonment campus in the city on Saturday.
Major General Md Abul Khair, Commandant MIST, joined the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
Brigadier General K M Salzar Hossain, Head of Department of Architecture, was also present at the event, according to a press release.
The two-day long festival is comprised of three events including seminar, student work exhibition, and design charrette.
A total of 200 students from 37 schools of Architecture across the country have participated in the Design Charrette.
Eminent architects, educationist, and professionals attended the seminar and shared their experiences and presentations on the future trend of architecture.
Chief guest Major General Md Abul Khair is expected to join the closing ceremony Sunday and distribute prizes among the winners.
