Academicians at a foundation training programme in Rangpur on Tuesday called upon the university teachers to acquire adequate knowledge on the better teaching methodologies being followed by the country's renowned teachers.
"The university teachers should have complete knowledge on academic curriculum and strategies for teaching the students effectively," said Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah.
Prof Kalimullah was addressing the "Foundation Training for Newly Appointed Teachers" organised by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university at conference room of the administrative building on the campus as the chief guest.
Director of IQAC at BRUR Prof Dr Nazmul Haque presided over the event, attended by the newly appointed teachers of the departments of Mathematics, Management Studies, Chemistry, Physics and Social Science of the university.
Chairman of the Department of Public Administration of Islami University, Kusthia, Prof Mohammad Zulfiqar Hossain conducted the seminar as the resource person.
Prof Hossain in his presentation put emphasis on the timeliness, innovative initiatives, human values and rich personality of the university teachers to become successful in professional careers.
Prof Hossain hoped that the foundation training will assist the newly appointed teachers to have positive impacts on their professional careers, reports BSS.
