A total of 143 students from University of Dhaka have received The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for their outstanding success in completion of different self-development activities.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation recognised their accomplishments with awards under its categories of Bronze (85) and Silver (58) at the university on Sunday, according to a media statement.
Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, University of Dhaka graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Rizwan Bin Farouq, Member, Board of Trustees and Chairman, Executive Committee and Brig Gen Kaiser Ahmed (Retd), National Director, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation Bangladesh atteded the function.
Prof Dr Mahjabeen Haque, Award Coordinator and Director, Students Counseling and Guidance Office, University of Dhaka and Award Leaders including Mizanur Rahman and Prashanta Majumdar were also present on that occasion.
