At least eight Taliban insurgents including senior commander Mullah Jalal have been killed in Dand-e-Shahabudin district of Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province over the last three days.
Ikramudin Sari, provincial police chief said Thursday that the ongoing cleanup operations have freed three villages from Taliban clutch.
The operations would continue until the area is cleared of the militants, reports Xinhua news agency quoting the chief.
Taliban militants haven’t commented on the report yet.
