A four-storey bunkhouse collapsed in the central Philippine city of Cebu on early Tuesday, killing five workers and wounding 55 others, said disaster officials.
Xinhua news agency reported citing the officials that the incident occurred around 3:00 am at Luz, a village in Cebu City.
Among the injured, five were in serious condition.
At least 153 workers reportedly spent the night at the bunkhouse which was made of metal scaffoldings and other construction materials.
Rescue operations were undergoing, officials said.
