Armed terrorists have attacked a Catholic church, killing at least nine people and injuring 56 in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's restive Balochistan province, media reports say.
The attack targeted the church on Sunday where prayers of Christian community were being held, the Express Tribune newspaper reported quoting Balochistan's Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti.
A loud explosion and gunshots were heard, it said.
The paper said that at least two people were killed.
According to eyewitnesses, a number of people have sustained injuries.
Following the attack, an emergency was imposed in all hospitals across Quetta, according to a PTI report run by the Times of India.
