Authorities in India’s Assam state have resumed mobile internet services, 10 days after it was suspended in the wake of violent protests over the controversial new citizenship law, officials said.
A senior official of private telecom operator Airtel said the ban was lifted from 9:00 am today (Friday).
He said, "As we did not received any fresh order to continue with the blackout, we have lifted the ban from 9:00 am," reports ndtv.com.
Broadband services have already resumed in Assam.
