A mild earthquake measuring 4.6 on Richter scale shook Hmawbi Township in Myanmar's Yangon region on Saturday morning.
The country's Meteorology and Hydrology Department said in a press release that the quake struck at 8:08 am local time. The epicentre was 6 miles east of Hmawbi.
There were no reports of damages or casualties, reports Xinhua news agency citing an official from the department.
