A Malaysian aircraft with 139 people on board aborted its takeoff and skidded off the runway of Tribuvan International Airport in Nepal on Friday.

All 132 passengers and 7 crew on board of the Malindo Airlines Boeing 737 were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.

Malindo Airlines issued a statement after the incident, report news agencies.

It said, “The airline deeply regrets for any inconvenience caused to the passengers who are affected by the incident.”

The airliner also pledged to provide necessary assistance to the affected passengers.

The airline added that it took the safety of its passengers and employees very seriously and that it had taken immediate measures to rectify and investigate the incident.

Aviation website, airlive.net, posted two still images and a short video of the Boeing 737-900 showing the passengers were evacuated via the right hand rear exit emergency slide.
