Jordan will cut diplomatic ties with North Korea, the Official Gazette says.
A royal decree was issued on Friday approving a decision by the cabinet to sever all diplomatic relations with North Korea, officially known as DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea).
As per the decision, Jordan will withdraw its recognition of the DPRK's ambassador to Jordan, who resides in Damascus, and terminate the duties of the Jordanese ambassador to the DPRK, who is based in Beijing, Xinhua news agency reports.
The decision will be conveyed to the DPRK authorities through the embassy in Beijing.
