An Indian Air Force MiG 27 fighter jet has crashed in a field near Jodhpur city in Rajasthan state during a routine mission.
The jet burst into flames and was completely destroyed in the crash, India Today reports on Tuesday.
The pilot of the aircraft was able to safely eject from the jet, reports the media.
The fighter jet had taken off from the Indian Air Force's Jodhpur airbase.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has ordered a court of inquiry into the crash.
