India recorded its biggest jump in coronavirus cases on Wednesday as 15 Italian tourists and one Indian, who was travelling with them, tested positive for the illness, taking the total number of cases to 28.
Sixteen Italian nationals in India have tested positive for the virus, New Delhi's health minister said on Wednesday, reports Reuters.
An Italian had tested positive for the virus in the western desert state of Rajasthan, a health official said on Monday.
The tourists were a part of a group of 23 Italians who travelled to Rajasthan last month.
