At least eighteen Taliban militants have been killed in a special operation in Afghanistan's Uruzgan province, the country's intelligence agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) said on Friday.
"Up to 18 members of Taliban terrorist group had been killed in an operation by the National Security Directorate (NDS) Special Operations Forces in Uruzgan," the agency said in a statement.
Huge amount of heavy and light weapons, ammunition and military uniform were seized in the raid, reports Xinhua citing the statement.
The Taliban militant group has yet to respond to the report.
