At least 10 people have died after consuming poisonous home-distilled drink moonshine in Indonesia’s capital and its outskirt cities, a senior police officer said Wednesday.
Police chief in East Jakarta Senior Commissioner Tony Surya revealed the news.
The victims were rushed into hospitals and a health clinic, but died after arriving there, Xinhua reported quoting the police chief.
“The 10 victims were found in several scenes (hospitals and a health clinic),” he said at the Jakarta metropolitan police headquarters.
Police are hunting for the trader and distributor of the deadly product, he added.
