At least 30 people have been killed and dozens injured as a Nairobi-bound passenger bus collided head-on with a truck on Nakuru-Eldoret highway in Kenya on Sunday morning.
Police said the accident occurred at Migaa about 10 kilometres from the Salgaa black spot.
Rift Valley Traffic Police Chief Zero Arome told journalists that the accident occurred around 3 am, with indications the bus may have had faulty brakes when it collided with the truck.
“All the bodies have been removed from the wreckage,” he said.
The driver of the truck, his loader and a three-year-old child were among the dead and the injured are being treated at the Rift Valley hospital in Nakuru, according to global agencies.
Rescue operations are still going on at the scene.
