The winter is my favourite season and I like it very much as during the winter we can have a relatively comfortable life in Dhaka city without load-shedding, water crisis and unbearable sweltering heat. We can enjoy the winter delicacies and fresh winter vegetables. Winter is the time for festivals like Christmas, Independence day and various picnics and wedding . I love to spend some time in Nature with family and friends and have a good time.
Compared to the rural areas Dhaka city is warmer. We also see various kinds of fairs taking place in Dhaka and soon the Dhaka export fair will take place and we see visitors thronging there to buy things at discount prices. we often see picnic buses going out of Dhaka during the weekend and people enjoying themselves. The winter kite festival also takes place in old Dhaka and we do not miss it. The kite festival is called "Shak-ra-in". My Foreign expatriate Bangladeshi relatives and friends love to visit Bangladesh during the winter time so that they can enjoy being here without usual hassle. I always enjoy the winter time from December to February.
