LAST Friday I was stuck in a huge gridlock when the Prime Minister was coming back from her U.S and Canada visit and the ruling party members gathered at the airport road to accord her a reception. Many roads were off-limit for the commuters. I was also waiting near Jamuna Future Park. The vehicles stood still. The traffic police were seen standing helplessly. Women and elderly people and patients were the worst sufferers. It was a lesson for me and I decided that in future I shall not make the mistake of coming out on the road on such occasions. I hope, whoever organizes similar event in future the issue of sufferings of the common people will be duly considered.
